Twilight Tour of Lower Manhattan and Brooklyn

One of the joys of attending a conference is to take any free time you have and do some sight-seeing. From a sociological perspective, any big city is fertile ground... but this evening i just decided to focus on the skyline and so I took one of those double-decker Grayline tours. I'll let the pictures below speak for themselves...

 This Chinese pagoda is home to Starbucks on the ground floor!

These buildings are home to sweat shops near Canal Street...

Canal Street is at the very lower level of Manhattan. 
In the next post I will continue the tour as we went into Brooklyn,
